Services

Services Across the Full System Lifecycle

BCE Systems strives to ensure that a product or solution purchase is not the end of a client relationship. We provide help and information to ensure that accurate decisions are reached, and that systems perform as they are designed to perform.

Before, during and after

Most system failures are not equipment failures. They are decisions taken without enough information, installations completed without commissioning, or systems handed over to people who were never trained to run them. The services below exist to close those gaps, and they are the reason our clients treat us as an integrator rather than a supplier.

01

Pre-Installation Advice

Guidance before purchase or deployment to help clients make accurate decisions. We would rather spend time on a requirement before a quotation than correct a specification afterwards, and we will say when a smaller system is sufficient.

Site assessment at a process plant
02

Threat Assessment

Review of risks, vulnerabilities or threats before recommending a solution. Security investment directed at the wrong exposure is money spent without risk reduced.

Engineering measurement and design verification
03

Architecture & Engineering Services

Technical design of system structure, components, interfaces, installation and performance requirements. This is where a system is actually decided; the equipment list follows from it.

04

Installation & Deployment

Physical and technical implementation of the approved system, including configuration, testing and commissioning. A system is not delivered when it is installed; it is delivered when it has been proven to work.

Instruction at the machine: one operator showing another
05

User Training

Training operators, users and administrators to use the system correctly. Systems that require specialist help to operate get worked around, and a workaround defeats the investment.

Bench repair of a board under warranty
06

Warranty & RMA Services

Warranty and return or replacement support. RMA means Return Merchandise Authorization, the process used to return products for repair, replacement or warranty processing. Requests are raised through our helpdesk and tracked to resolution.

Support equipment at a desk
07

Online Support

Remote technical support through digital channels, including ticketing, remote diagnosis and knowledge base access. Most faults are resolved without a site visit, which is faster for the client and cheaper for both parties.

08

Onsite Maintenance & Support

Site visits for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs and support. Preventive maintenance is the part most often deferred and the part that determines whether a system reaches its expected life.

Updates & Upgrades

Software, firmware, hardware and system improvements after deployment. Systems left unpatched become both a reliability problem and, increasingly, a security one.
