    Motorola Solutions in Kenya

BCE Systems is a Motorola Solutions Silver Reseller in Kenya, accredited for Professional and Commercial Radio and WAVE PTX, and recognised as an LTE Devices Specialist. We support communication and public safety video solutions across the market.

What partner level means, in practice

Partner tiers are easy to display and hard to interpret, so here is the plain version. Silver Reseller status is earned through accreditation, trained personnel and demonstrated delivery, and it is reviewed. It gives us direct access to Motorola engineering support, current product and firmware, warranty handling through the manufacturer rather than around it, and pricing that reflects a channel relationship rather than a grey-market purchase.

What it does not mean is that we will recommend Motorola for everything. Where another manufacturer fits the requirement better, we will say so, and we hold authorisations with Avigilon, Gallagher and MultiChoice among others precisely so that we can.

Silver Reseller applies to Kenya. In Somalia, BCE Systems holds Motorola Solutions Registered Partner status. The Somalia site states its own position; this page must not be reused there, and neither must the badge.

    What we are accredited for

Partner level is one thing. What a partner is accredited to sell and support is the more useful question, and it is specific.

Professional and Commercial Radio. The MOTOTRBO range and the commercial radio portfolio, which is the bulk of what we deploy: portables, mobiles, repeaters and the systems around them.

WAVE PTX. Broadband push-to-talk, including the deployment running at Senaca East Africa in Nairobi. See the case study.

LTE Devices Specialist. Device-level accreditation on Motorola's LTE portfolio, which is the narrowest of the three and the one most relevant to private and tactical LTE work.

    What we supply

    Two-way radio: MOTOTRBO

Digital mobile radio portables, mobiles and repeaters for security, utilities, logistics, conservancies, hospitality and industrial operations. Supplied with the frequency licence application handled as part of the project rather than left to the customer.

    Broadband push-to-talk: WAVE PTX

Push-to-talk over cellular, on dedicated handsets such as the TLK series or as an application on phones already in the field. It removes the need to build radio infrastructure and it extends coverage to wherever the mobile network reaches. The Senaca East Africa deployment in Kitisuru runs on WAVE PTX.

    Public safety video

Body worn, in-car and motorcycle video systems with evidence management. Supplied where the operational and evidential requirements justify them, which is a narrower set of cases than the marketing suggests.

    Critical communications infrastructure

DIMETRA TETRA systems and associated infrastructure for organizations operating their own trunked networks.

    Frequently asked

Is Silver Reseller the highest level?
No. Motorola operates several tiers above it. Silver reflects accreditation and delivery capability at our current scale, and we state it accurately rather than implying more.
Can you support Motorola equipment we already own?
Usually. We service, reprogramme and extend existing fleets, and we will tell you honestly when a fleet has reached the point where continued repair costs more than replacement.
Do you handle the radio licence?
Yes. Radio equipment in Kenya must be operated under a licence from the Communications Authority, and the frequency assignment is part of the system design rather than an afterthought. We prepare and submit the application.
